Si tratta di un'opera decisamente pregevole dove viene rappresentata una scena di una regata sommersa dalle onde del mare e dal soffio del vento. L'artista avverte il desiderio di palesare un momento devastante della natura immergendosi in essa con un sentimento panico per coglierne le vibrazioni e il carattere mutevole del tempo atmosferico. Scarlat manifesta quelle che sono le sue impressioni materializzate sulla tela attraverso l'ansia e il tormento di un evento che non accenna a placarsi. Ottimo l'impianto scenico con colori che definiscono ampiamente la struttura formale dell'opera.
