WOMAN-GIRL
Description
TITLE OF THE WORK: WOMAN-GIRL
TECHNIQUE: OIL AND ACRYLIC ON CANVAS WITH FRAME
DIMENSIONS : 35X45
YEAR : 2018
This painting was born from the memory of an encounter in Morocco, from the desire to capture the purity and features of a little girl I met along the way. However, as often happens in the creative process, the canvas became a mirror. In shaping her face, I ended up infusing her eyes with something profoundly mine: my gaze.
Woman-Child thrives on this duality. The chromatic contrasts between the warm tones of her skin and the magnetic intensity of her dark gray eyes tell a story of transition, where the delicacy of childhood meets a precocious and profound awareness. The white veil framing her face enhances her enigmatic solemnity, transforming a fragment of memory into an intimate exploration of the soul.
