In this work, I wanted to capture the evocative atmosphere and unique light of Peschici, one of the most charming villages in the Gargano. The composition unfolds around the majestic cliff overlooking the sea, painted with textured brushstrokes to convey the rock's grain and strength. At the summit, the typical white houses stand out vividly, clinging to the promontory's profile and illuminated by the warm tones of evening.
The Adriatic Sea, rendered with flowing blues and azures, fades toward the foreground, where the breakwater and cliff guide the gaze toward the coastal inlet. Above, the sky lights up with the pink and purple hues typical of twilight, creating a stark and moving chromatic contrast with the water and earth tones.
With "Peschici and its Colors," my aim was to immortalize a moment of tranquility and wonder, translating onto canvas the harmonious fusion between the village's spontaneous architecture and the wild nature of the Apulian landscape.
