Description
THE EMPRESS 81x130
The figure of The Empress looks like a matron on her throne, a woman in a state of hope, representing responsible motherhood.
With her left hand she holds the scepter of the Ankh cross (that of Life) as a symbol of the transformation of the vital fluids of the person and the cosmos towards the positive or creative. And with her right hand she holds a shield with an eagle engraved or painted on it, which represents the self-affirmation of her personality, her high aims, her lofty objectives, her desires for elevation, the very high flight of her spirit, her search for responsible power and wisdom; it is the fertile expression of her soul.
At the same time, the scepter and the shield express her authority in the family and society, her high birth, her nobility, her sense of duty.
