​In this work, the volcanic soul of Pozzuoli emerges in all its chromatic power. In the foreground, the beach presents itself in its authentic guise: an expanse of deep grays and intense blacks reminiscent of ash and basalt. It is a dark threshold that prepares the eye for the explosion above. The sky is a dramatic gradient, sliding from the violet blue of dusk to a vivid fiery red, where a straw-yellow sun rests like a precious gem. The delicate, dappled clouds add a touch of lightness to an otherwise powerful atmosphere. The sea, guardian of this spectacle, welcomes the dark blue of the advancing night, while also allowing trails of fiery reflections to dance across the water's surface.
