Wheat field with cypresses
Description
Vincent Van Gogh, defining the cypress "beautiful in line and proportions like an Egyptian obelisk", managed to transmit a deep charge of energy making every single brushstroke on the canvas vital. The resulting impression is a sort of electric current that runs through the entire image, with the cypresses becoming electrodes that transmit energy from the earth to the sky and the other way around.
I tried, with this tribute to the great artist, to get as close as possible to his technique and the message he wanted to communicate.
The painting continues on the sides of the canvas, in order to make the frame optional.
