Nadia Spagnolo - contemporary paintress
I was born and raised in Italy, in Puglia, in the province of Lecce. Since childhood I started drawing, dancing and singing but being strongly hindered by my family, I never had the opportunity to study art in any form, except for a year and a half of classical and modern dance after I turned twenty.
I studied Economics in high school, at university and I graduated in Economic Sciences with a focus on environmental and cultural protection. Later, I worked in tourism and after doing an internship in France, in a cultural association, an existential crisis arose in me, which lasted over time and led me to paint as a self-taught artist.
I have had two small personal exhibitions in my city, Lecce. I continue to paint for passion, trying to improve my techniques.
The subjects that inspire me most are seascapes, nature, dance and stars.
My favorite painters are Leonardo da Vinci, Vincent Van Gogh, Claude Monet, Paul Gauguin, Paul Signac and many other contemporaries.
