Nadia Spagnolo - contemporary paintress
I was born and raised in Puglia, in the province of Lecce, Italy.
Since childhood I started drawing and painting but growing up I never had the opportunity to study art. I studied Economics from high school to university and with a particular interest in the protection of nature and the environment. After graduation and after various jobs that did not satisfy me, a crisis broke out inside me a few years ago and I started painting on canvas as a self-taught. I did two small personal exhibitions in my city, Lecce. I keep painting, trying to improve myself every day.
The subjects that inspire me most are the things I love the most: the sea, the beauty of nature, animals, especially horses. Another great passion of mine is dance and in the future I would like to paint it my way. And the universe is also one of my favorite subjects.
My favorite painters are Leonardo da Vinci, Vincent Van Gogh, Claude Monet, Paul Signac and many other contemporaries.
