Description

It is impossible to geometrically represent an infinite distance. This work speaks of another kind of distance: those we impose upon ourselves and that only after stopping to reflect can we decide whether they are positive or negative—whether we should break them or continue marking them.

The very geometry of the piece seeks to reinforce the separation between, in this case, two neighbors. There is no distance without walls, virtual or physical. In every distance, one side is stronger than the other. Do we want to break those walls? Can we break them? The tones of the painting speak of darkness and light as diametrically opposed elements—the greatest possible separation.
