This painting is inspired by Fabrizio De André's song Nell'acqua della chiara fontana, which explores universal themes like physical and erotic love, not just the platonic kind, within a delicate and refined context. The song, a translation of Georges Brassens' work, celebrates the casual encounter between a man and a woman, where the act of the woman bathing symbolizes a discreet sensuality, never ostentatious but experienced with grace and modesty. The woman, with her elegant gestures, embodies a love that is given freely, and it is this sense of delicacy that I aimed to capture in my painting.

For me, interpreting this gentle song was a natural process. Usually, my art is inspired by the lyrics of a song, finding parallels with chapters of my life. In this case, however, the origin and inspiration came directly from the "character." The figure of the woman is central to the painting, and from her emerged the surrounding environment and landscape, followed by the addition of other elements that complete and enrich the visual narrative.

The artwork is a reflection on sensuality and intimate love, lived with modesty and sweetness, just as described in De André's song. Through colors and forms, I sought to represent the elegance and grace of the gesture, creating an atmosphere that invites reflection on the meaning of physical love as an essential element of life and human connection.
