Procida, Terra Murata

​With this work, I wanted to capture the historic and proud soul of Procida, focusing on the majesty of Terra Murata, which rises steeply above the sea. Using a mixed technique of oil and acrylic on a 70x50 cm canvas, I sought to blend the immediate brilliance of the colors with the depth and nuance that only oil painting can provide.

​Key Elements of the Painting

​The Historic Village: The ancient fortified center dominates the composition with its warm, earthy tones, a silent witness to centuries of history. On the left, the gaze gently glides toward the town's typical Mediterranean architecture.

​Nature and the Sea: The cliff, covered with dense vegetation in shades of green and dark, plunges into the intense, deep hues of our blue sea, whose vibrant reflections I wanted to capture in the foreground.

 The Horizon: In the background, the soft outline of the coast and islands stands out under a clear sky, veiled by light clouds that give breadth and depth to the entire scene.

This painting is my personal tribute to the timeless beauty of our land, a tale of light, rock, and sea where history meets the Mediterranean landscape.
