Description
Canvas on a wooden support 20x30cm with a rear hook ready to hang. The bottom has been prepared with minimal reliefs and small bubbles creating a
slightly irregular base surface.
After many paintings on landscapes or dreamlike atmospheres, I decided to try a new genre: that of the portrait. I don’t like figurative style in the strict sense and,
as I wrote in my biography, I was attracted by the impressionists and expressionists and by the possibility of going beyond what we see in front of us, watching not only by the eyes, but also by the imagination and the suggestions that derive from it. Here I wanted to play through my favourite colours - applied by spatula and then scratched away- portraying a semi-serious expression.
