THE ABANDONED NAVIGLIO (ZANTE)
Description
TITLE OF THE WORK: THE ABANDONED NAVIGLIO (ZANTE)
TECHNIQUE: OIL ON CANVAS
DIMENSIONS : 30X60
YEAR : 2006
A warship lies stranded and defenseless on the golden sands of Zakynthos, captured in the contrast between the majesty of nature and the memory of conflict. The work arises from the desire to give form to a universal message of peace: sand becomes a powerful metaphor for humanity. While a single grain of sand seems powerless to halt the dynamics of war, the sum of all the grains—united without distinction of origin or color—creates an unshakable force. Shared Love thus succeeds where politics and demagoguery have failed, transforming an instrument of conflict into a distant wreck disarmed by the strength of unity.
This work has already been exhibited at an art exhibition dedicated to the theme of world peace.
